Yesterday, I hit send on the Faith in the Fog manuscript.
I’ve been working on it for months—writing, revising, praying, circling back to old wounds, and trying to put words to things that don’t always make sense on the page. Hitting “send” felt like both a relief and a reckoning.
So I did something that helps me come back to myself.

I sat down at my art desk and picked up my watercolor pencils. Not to create something perfect or polished—but to start a sketch I’d been holding in the back of my mind for a while. I needed to feel the pencil in my hand, to get quiet in a different way.
That’s what healing has often looked like for me—not dramatic turning points, but small pauses where I let myself breathe again.
I don’t know exactly what comes next, but I want to share the process with you. If you’ve ever felt like you’re working your way through fog too, I hope this journey makes you feel less alone.
I’ll be posting more in the days ahead as the release draws closer.
For now, this was my exhale.
If this kind of quiet reflection resonates with you, I’d love to share more along the way.
