Navigating new territory is hard

Today has been just a bit frustrating and I thought I’d share how I navigated some of the hiccups I faced.

First, while I consider myself pretty good at technology, today has not been one of my success stories. The day began by realizing I failed to check a link in my weekly blog post before scheduling it, but thankfully, someone emailed me directly to let me know it didn’t work. However, the oversight did send me into a momentary emotional spin.

But, I didn’t stay there. I took a deep breath, stepped away, and responded to the subscriber by sending her a clickable link. Her email pointed to a issue that I’ve tried to figure out for a couple of months: I have 2 email subscription platforms that I can’t figure out how to merge smoothly. One is the built in WordPress blog notification list and the other is a new list I’m building to have better functionality and reach.

I think I have a solution, but I’m still testing it. So, if you get a few notifications that don’t make sense, please hang in there with me as I try to get things set up the way I want them. My goal is to serve you well.
