Morning Meditation: Today’s verse is particularly relevant in our current culture. As I am bombarded by conflicting messages and ideas, I must remember to renew my mind daily. #morningmeditation #renew

A single event can send you into an emotional spiral where your rational mind stops functioning. Everything that you believe about yourself goes out the window. The question is, how do you stop the spiral and get back to the truth about the person God created you to be?
When I recognize the inner voice that tells me to sabotage a relationship, or warns me to run away from a friendship, I stop the thought and replace it with scripture. Part of the process is identifying when I felt the same emotions or physical sensations
Psalm 119:105 reminds us that scripture provides guidance and direction for every step we take. The psalmist’s lamp metaphor reflects the limited light lamps provided in ancient times and reminds us that the Lord doesn’t always illuminate the entire path.
