The book of Psalms is one of my favorite in the Bible because David and the other writers of the book lament their struggles honestly and then praise God for His grace and love. The pattern mirrors my personal interactions with the Lord and it comforts me to read David’s faithfulness despite multiple periods of frustration.

Today’s verse is one of my favorites because of its simplicity. Sometimes I forget how grateful I am for God’s grace and forgiveness and this verse reminds me to let the Lord know how much I love Him.

Father’s Day is sometimes difficult for me. Most years I ignore the multitude of Father’s Day posts that fill my social media News Feed, but some years, the words of praise and love bring tears of sorrow and anger to my heart.
