This verse is one of my go to verses when I need reminders to stay the course. When I try to rush ahead of God or pursue things out of His plan, my energy gets depleted quickly. But when I wait, pray, and listen for God’s whisper I’m amazed at how my mind, body, and spirit are renewed.

Waiting for the Lord requires discipline, trust, and patience. Discipline includes prayer and obedience. Trust comes from a strong relationship with the Lord. Patience is perhaps the most difficult for me and for many in our world of instant gratification.

I’m so much better at waiting for the Lord as I navigate life’s twists and turns, but today this verse encouraged me to trust Him to give me strength, courage and endurance everyday.
