God is the ultimate healer for our souls and our bodies.
Psalm 147:3 was written to give hope to the Israelites who were returning to Jerusalem after the BabyIonian exile. The city was in ruins and they needed hope. They were broken, tired, and desperate. The psalmist brought a glimmer of hope to them in this verse.
The Lord offers the same comfort and restoration to us today. When we are broken by life’s circumstances, He reaches out His hand and inclines His ear toward us. He offers comfort to the sorrowful. Hope to the hopeless. He heals our wounds as we approach Him with surrender and gratitude. We are not alone in our suffering. He is ever present to lift us up, heal us, and surround us with His love.
