Philippians 1:6 is one of my go-to verses when I feel unsure or overwhelmed about my purpose or calling. Or when life circumstances make me doubt the Lord’s promises to me.
The promise in this verse reminds me that when the Lord starts something, He always finishes the project. He won’t leave me hanging and will always equip me for the job He gives me. His timing rarely syncs with mine and generally takes much longer than I like.
However, looking back over my life, I see that I am a work in progress and the fulfillment of His promise won’t be obvious until the day I see Jesus face to face. Every step along the way is preparing me for that moment.
