Experiencing Hope, Finding Truth

The book of Psalms is a favorite of mine because David and others bare their heart and soul to the Lord, but always end with praise and thanksgiving for God’s steadfast love. This week I turned to three passages to uplift, encourage and strengthen my soul. I hope they provide the same to you.
Morning Meditation: Even though I’ve never had an abundance of material possessions, I have sometimes envied the prosperity of others. Today’s verse reminds me to not lose sight of the importance of building strong relationships with God, myself, and others. #morningmeditation #relationships
Morning Meditation: For me keeping step with the spirit requires daily renewal through study, prayer, and conversations with Lord. I can’t keep step with someone I’m not in a close relationship with. #morningmeditation #relationship
A 9-year old girl lay sobbing on soiled sheets trying desperately to escape her fate. “You failed again; you are worthless! Get back down there! Maybe you’ll get it right after a few days in the cellar!” Uncle Ray shouted as the child covered her face to avoid his fist.
Morning Meditation: While my struggles with temptations are significantly less frequent than in years past, I know I must be vigilant about what I watch, read, and be alert to not responding to stress in unhealthy ways. #morningmeditation #resisttemptation
Morning Meditation: A timely verse to remind me to connect with God daily. Dehydration of the soul makes me vulnerable to temptation. #morningmeditation #hydrationforthesoul
