I think of all the Old Testament figures, David’s interactions with the Lord mirror my conversations with the Lord. David was notorious for his lamenting to God about his life situations, but he always ended with praise, surrender, and acknowledgement of God’s sovereignty.

Like David, I sometimes voice my complaints to God for a few minutes before I pause long enough to remember all He’s done for me. Then my complaint turns to praise and I’m able to rest in His arms. #traumarecovery #FaithInTheFog #dailyinspiration #praise
