This iconic verse hits me hard today because I feel God is ushering me into a new season, a season of rest and I’m not entirely sure what it will look like. Plus, it’s a little out of my comfort zone. Actually, it’s way out of my comfort zone, but here we are.

To be clear, I don’t think the Lord is telling me to become complacent or not continue to serve, but to stop striving and looking for the next project. Rest, during this season, means surrendering and waiting for His guidance before I act. He wants me to rest in Him and listen for His voice. It also means listening to my body and taking better care of my health.

What I know is no matter what season I’m in, God will get me through it if I allow Him to.

Challenge:

  1. What season are you in?
  2. How do you see God working to help you navigate your current season?
