David wrote Psalm 31 during a time of intense personal stress. After lamenting about his situation for several verses, he expresses David expresses his trust in the Lord.

As I’ve expressed several times, my relationship with the Lord sometimes follows a similar pattern of lamenting and complaining only to be followed by praise and understanding of God’s sovereignty and unconditional love for me.

I’m grateful that God’s love transcends my little temper tantrums. He knows my heart and hears my cries, then gently reminds me He will never abandon me.
