In Psalm 25:4 David surrenders completely to the Lord. He is surrounded by his enemies, feels alone so he reaches out to God, whom he trusts.

He declares his dependence on the Lord and asks for guidance. He yields his will to God and asks the Lord to reveal His ways and to teach him where he should go.

The lesson I learn from David’s prayer is surrender opens the pathway between me and the Lord. Even if I’m not at the end of the rope, when I surrender my will and lean on the Lord, I’m able to hear His voice more clearly. I can depend on Him in every situation. I am never alone.
