The last phrase of today’s verse is iconic and one that I say when I feel overwhelmed by life, but the first part of the verse is equally important. We are God’s children and, through Christ we have overcome the evil forces that threaten our peace. The Holy Spirit empowers us with all we need to battle anything that comes against us.
