Psalm 27:14 is a call to active trust, inner strength, and patience during difficult seasons. David faced enemies, danger, and threats his entire life, but chose to trust God in every situation. Sometimes it took him a minute to verbalize his trust, but it was always part of his character.

“Wait for the Lord” is a command, not a suggestion. David says it twice in today’s verse. To me, the words are a mental stop sign that remind me to stop trying to figure everything out and trust the one who can calm my soul.

No matter what I face I know the Lord is in control. No matter what the outcome I know God will be with me. I just have to trust him, be patient, and wait. #FaithInTheFog #traumarecovery #dailyinspiration
