At first glance, today’s 1 Chronicles 16:11 might seem impossible to achieve. After all, how could we seek the Lord continually with all the things on our plate? Yet, the truth is seeking the Lord continually can actually simplify our life because His guidance and strength guides us toward better choices.

Now, to be clear, seeking the Lord continually doesn’t mean being on our knees praying 24/7. Rather, at least for me, constant communication is simply having the Lord at the top of my mind all day. I talk to Him as a friend throughout the day. He is always near even if I don’t feel His presence.

I think today’s verse is wise counsel for developing and maintaining a close relationship with the Lord so we can call on Him for all our needs.
