Paul endured severe trials during his ministry and he used his experience to explain God’s power and love for all believers. Romans 8: 31-39 lists a multitude of difficulties believers may face and today’s verse captures the message of hope he wants to convey: Nothing can separate us from the love of God.

I spent years trying to earn God’s love because I thought His love was based on my behavior. When I finally understood His love was unconditional, an enormous weight lifted off me.

We already have the victory through Christ. No matter what we face our victory is secure and God’s love never ceases.
